Horseshoe Bend Sunset Bridals
Kelly and Tiffany have a flare for "EPIC" so I was not surprised when they agreed to my idea of doing a sunset bridal shoot on the cliffs of Horseshoe Bend! Barefoot and windblown, this was both dreamy and epic in every way! With a long hike in, we were running out of sunlight quick but somehow we were able to pull it off, probably because they both have to be some of the most photogenic people i've ever worked with!! Of course, this was just part 1 of the many MANY more epic moments to come!
Sunrise Ceremony at Lone Rock Beach
Kelly and Tiffany originally planned on a sunset wedding on Lone Rock Beach, however after being there a few days playing and celebrating prior to their big day, they saw how the wind would typically pick up in the evening, and for fear of it ruining everything, they made a last minute switch on their wedding eve's night to do the ceremony the next morning at 6:30 am! With a 10 pm call to their bishop and a 4:30 am wake up call to the entire wedding party to get all the details put together (Which I especially LOVED seeing the groom and his handsaw at the crack of dawn creating the gorgeous birch arbor he would soon wed his bride under!), it was an "all hands on deck" kind of morning. And somehow they were able to pull it off for truly the most beautiful and heartfelt ceremony I have ever been apart of. Tearful vows said as the waves lapped upon the shore, Mixing sands as they officially blended their family, and promises made to not just each other but to their kids who surrounded them. It was a tearful celebration with smiles all around!
The After Party
Immediately following the ceremony, we loaded up in a couple Mastercrafts and found ourselves in a private cove. The perfect place for a champagne toast! So many kind words shared among close family and friends. Then, of course, Cliff jumping follwed! Even the bride and groom took a hand in hand jump in together. Other moments captured during this two day event was sunrise yoga led by Tiffany (bride) and the wedding dinner on the Eve of their wedding day at The Point restaurant in Antelope Point.
Reception - Sunset dinner and Dancing
Following the Wedding day's events - the party made it back to shore for a Mexican FEAST at sunset - Then the party really began with cake cutting, bouquet and garter toss, and of course lots and lots of DANCING on a DIY wood plank dance floor complete with string lights and a boombox for the most impressive beach dance party ever! See what I mean, Kelly and Tiffany have a flare for EPIC!
Provo City Center Temple was in full spring bloom for this breath-taking April wedding! The celebration continued at the Bright Building in Provo where the sweetest ring ceremony and reception took place. The details of this wedding were second to none. And yes, the dad made me cry 3 times that night with his toast and daddy-daughter dance!
Thinking back... I'm pretty sure it was these two who were too hot for the ice which is probably why it was melting on us! When I first met Breauna and Greg I knew they would be PERFECT for this blissful, artistic, yet epic location. Not only because they have more chemistry than most couples have in a lifetime, but because it took a certain... "coolness" to be able to trust someone they had never met before and walk out onto a cracking, melting lake with me. But they did it!! Even though all of our entrance points were completely melted besides a 1 foot area we had to jump across and every once in a while throughout the shoot you'd hear (and feel) and deep crack under your feet, WE PREVAILED! I love a cool couple who's wiling to be adventurous with me. Because in the end, we made magic on that ice!! And can we talk about the cattails at the lakes edge...? OMG. Nevermind the fact I may or may not still have little puffs of whatever stuck to my pants and jacket, these two at dusk could have sent me into a coma of gorgeousness overload. CAN NOT WAIT to photograph their wedding!!!!
These wintery wonderland bridals are what every photographers dreams are made of! Lauren and Ryan were so awesome, her with her winter boots and him with nothing but his slick dress shoes and handwarmers in each hand endured 17 degree temps for a wanderlust filled Saturday afternoon in December. I love brides who are as adventurous as me!!
Little Graham was such a dream, I just love photographing newborns especially when they are the first for a family, like the darling Esplins! Nothing sweeter than seeing a set of wide-eyed sleep deprived parents so insanely obsessed and full of love for their new addition. Such a beautiful thing. But I have to say, these two must not be too sleep deprived because they looked wayyyyy to good. Much better than I ever do right after my babies are born! And yes, I threw in a crying picture at the end because while I certainly don't like when babies are sad, their ability to completely melt their face into ultimate desperation is sometimes the cutest thing I've ever seen haha especially cute Graham. Don't worry, mama comforted him moments later. But not before I could snap a pic for memory sake!
